- Relax by the 60’ oval swimming pool under the sun on our lounge chairs or in the shade with breathtaking views of Montalcino and the valley beyond.

- Play half court basketball, a game of tennis or have an after-dinner bocce tournament.

- Take a bike ride to nearby Vescovado on one of our 5 mountain or 8 titanium bikes, or stay low-tech and take a walk on the country roads around Bibbiano.  

- Organize a yoga class, large or small with a professional yoga teacher.

- Hire a tennis professional for tuning up your skills or just for the love of the game with the Borgo providing tennis racquets and fresh tennis balls.

- Go for a run on the treadmill or use our elliptical machines and Cybex to build up an appetite before dinner.

- Head to the spa and try our our steam room or our sauna, then jump in the cold splash and settle down in the hot tub.

- Try out the massage chair in the gym.

- Ask for a in-room massage or other spa treatments.

- Experienced riders can go for a horse-back tour of the area around Bibbiano.

- Go for a drive to one of the beautiful towns and cities nearby: Montalcino, Pienza, Siena, Florence, and many more. For a more structured adventure, hire one of our trusted guides for an educational and fun experience and let us arrange transportation (for large or small groups). 

- Have a wine tasting competition or a guided tasting lesson, or for those who want to explore, have us arrange a visit, tour and tasting at one of the many nearby Montalcino wineries. 

- Go to a nearby converted monastery for a cooking class.

- During truffle season, go on a truffle hunt and enjoy a lunch based on the local delicacy.

- Visit La Foce, home of Anglo-American writer and historian Iris Origo, with its splendid Italian garden (you can read her auto-biography and many books present in our library).

- Shop at designer outlets in Tuscany on an independent outing or with a guide.

- Try an air adventure to see the gorgeous Tuscan landscape from above whether by hot air balloon or helicopter (helicopters can land on the property).

Food, Wine and Entertainment

- Ask for a lunch buffet for the next day so guests who want to rest at the Borgo have a relaxing and delicious meal.  

- Enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo with cocktails and delightful appetizers prepared by the owner’s chef either out on the lawn or in the courtyard, and watch the sunset as you dine on the terrace.  

- Have staff organize children’s activities or provide a babysitter / relief help.

- Hire a professional photographer to capture your group’s special moments (ask Borgo staff how you can have a personalized photo book that combines your images with those of our resident photographer Dave Yoder).

- Plug a Borgo iPod into a Bose audio system and choose from any of the 27,000 songs to listen to while in your suite in Finocchieto, at the bar, in the courtyard, on the dining terrace, in all of the houses and even at the gym/spa.

- Unwind in the library while you freshen up on some of the great books or read more about what to see and do in Tuscany.

- Borrow our binoculars and a guidebook for bird watching on the property.   

- Watch a classic film from Janus’ top 50 or a new release with a few people in the screening room or with a larger group in the conference room for a quiet night in or an educational experience.
