One of the Borgo’s strengths is its ability to bring groups together -- and meal times are no exception.
Property rentals include our fantastic daily breakfast buffet with fresh pastries, tortes, or pies, homemade breads, fruit, yogurt, cereals, jams, local honey, and eggs made to order. Guests also enjoy espresso and cappuccino to order, or choose from a selection of juices, teas, and drip coffee.
Dining at the Borgo also reflects two other unique aspects of the Borgo experience. First is the flexibility of using the owner’s chef for lunch and dinner, and the second is the attentive and welcoming service staff that is also on call for your dining needs. Simply let our general manager Marco know a day in advance whether you would like to have any meals at the Borgo, and all is arranged for you. For those who want to explore the area and have a meal out, he is there to help you choose a restaurant that suits you, or your entire group.
Typically, Borgo guests choose to enjoy relaxed lunches on site, served in buffet style with something to please everyone, or a sit-down three course lunch catered to your wishes. Gleaned from our own garden whenever possible, dishes reflect the ever-seasonal Tuscan table.
It is also often the case that guests ask for a traditional aperitivo before dinner with cocktails, Prosecco and other beverages served alongside delicious appetizers in the bar, courtyard or on the lawn (weather permitting). This can be followed by a three-course dinner (though flexibility is key, so family style and buffet options are always a possibility) of classic, seasonal Tuscan and Italian specialties that, as with the lunches, can be customized to fit your group’s requirements.
Wines served at all meals are selected from the Val d’ Orcia and Val d’ Arbia, which includes the Brunello growing region. With advance notice in our pre-arrival questionnaire, we can also procure any additional wines guests may desire and we welcome your preferences. This is also an opportunity to inform us of any food needs or intolerances so we can ensure the best possible dining experience, customized to fit everyone’s tastes.
